OKEECHOBEE - The Clerk of Circuit
Court Office, 312 N.W. Third St., will
hold an Operation Green Light Virtual
event Nov. 9-21. The Clerk's Office will
be open on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 10
a.m. to 2 p.m. Extended hours will be
in effect Nov. 9, 10, 16 and 17 from 5 to
6 p.m. Okeechobee County customers
with suspended driver licenses will have
an opportunity to pay overdue court
obligations, including traffic tickets, while
saving up to 25% in additional fees to get

ORTONA-The Ortona Veterans Cer-
emony will be held at 1 I a.m. on Wednes-
day, Nov. I I at the Ortona Cemetery
pavilion. The keynote speaker will be Sam
James. Refreshments will be served after
the ceremony. In the past, Farris H. Davis
Post 299 American Legion out of Moore
Haven held the ceremony, but the post has
closed. This year, Aletris Farnam, Glades
County supervisor of elections, and Glades
County Sheriff David Harden are sponsoring
the event.
They will also be participating in
Wreaths Across America on Nov. 19.
Wreaths are $15 each or three for $30. You
can drop off money for wreaths at the VFW
