2020-11-05 Ex 02City of Okeechobee Police Department October 26th, 2020 We are required to send Uniform Crime Statistics to the State every year. The State, and the Federal government have been working for several years to update the way crime statistics are reported. This will require an update to not only our Spillman CAD and Reporting system, but to every system in the State. This Requisition is for that update. The State has given us until Jan. 3111 to complete this update. There is no legal requirement to report these statistics, however if we don't then the City loses the ability to apply for State and Federal Grants, and we lose our CAS system, which in effect makes it impossible for the Police Department to function.
