Jennings,City Attorney and L.n Stewart, --Chief 01;. Police in attendance. Absent: Leon Latour, President City Council. - Mr. Ruse representing Florida Power & Light Company appeared before Council ~ / and requested Council to reduce assessment on property assessed to said Company to amount shown in tax return made to Tax Assessor by said Company. Mr. Nathan Zelmenovitz appeared before Council and requested reduction in assessment of Lot 12, Block 165. Mr. J. G. MacNeff appeared before Council and re- quested reduction in assessment of Lots 7 and 8, Block 154. Mr. Ted Platt represent- ing e. D. Platt appeared before Council and requested reduction in assessment of ~ots 2 and 3, Block 245. The Council then took up the matter of accepting deedrfor twenty acres of land purchased from Mrs. Ida E. Chandler and upon motion by Councilman Hancock, seconded by Councilman Walker and carried, Council accepted deeds to said land às executed I by Mrs. Ida E. Chandler and authorized the President pro-tem of Council and City Clerk- to execute three notes in the sum of $500.00 each maturing in six, twelve and ¡ eighteen months respectively with interest at 6% for the deferred payments on said land. I I~< The Council then went into executive session for the purpose of considering tax I I , I reductions, after Which Council resumed open session. - Councilman Hancock moved that Council reduce assessment on Lots A, B, C, P, Q and R, Block 252 assessed in name of Florida Power & Light Company from $50,000.00 to 840,000.00, motion seconded by Councilman Walker and passed. J Upon motion by Councilman Chandler, seconded by Councilman Walker, council 1 I reduced assessÅ“ent on Lots 7 and 8, Block 154 from $40,000.00 to $37,000.00. ; Upon motion by Councilman Walker, seconded by Councilman Hancock, council reduced assessment on Lot 12, Block 165 from $6,500.00 to $6,000.00. I Upon motion by Councilman Hanoock, seconded by Councilman Chandler, Council I denied request for reduction in assessment on Lots 2 and 3, Block 245. !
