The City Counail Met in regular session at 7:30 o'clock P. M. on the above da~e 'J'
and the following v:~re present: T. W. Conely, Jr., :Mayor, Councilmfn; J. D. Bird, L. F "
Scarfschwerdt, H.H. Bancock, and H. T. Bass, with R. P. Fletcher, Clerk, F. E. Lawren e
and W. E. Darrow, City Engineers, B. L. Jennings, Jr., City Attorney in attendance.
President DeYarrDan being absent, President Pro-tern Bird presided over the
meeting.
Minutes of me~ting held February 16th, 1926 were read and a"Oproved.
Communications were read from Davidson-Detroit Florida Land Company in regard t
grading certain straets in Central Park subdivision and "Oroviding for 'Oroper drainage
from se"Otic tank on north side of said subdivision. ~
Upon motion by Councilman Bass, seconded by Councilman Hancock, the City Engin-
eer was instructed to investigate matter of drainage and street grading for centrall
Park Subdivision an~ make report to the Council. ,-
Upon motion by Counqilman Scharfsbhwerdt, duly seconded and carried the Council
authorized Mr. E. G. Bassett to grade Osceola Street from South Street to South si?e
of South Okeechobee Addition, a distance of approximately 500 feet. City to pay for
same when funds are available.
Mr. A. Freedman anr)eared before the Council in regard to curbing on .South Park
Street from Osceola Street to Okeechobee Avenue, and he was requested to make further
investigation of the matter and report to the Óouncil.
Upon motion by Councilman Bass, seconded by Councilman Hancock, the Council au-
thorized the purchase of twelve garbage cans.
Motion was made by Councilman Bass, duly seconded and carried that the Inter
County Telephone & T"legraph Company and Florida Power & Light Comp8ny be requt~$à(to
- lace their teleohone and light ooles on Parrott a,venue within nine feet of property l
llne.-
Upon motion by Councilman Bass, seconded by Councilaan Scharfschwerdt, that Cle k J

F. J. Godwin requested three days leave of absence to fry fish for celebration,
was granted.
