2004-12 Election of City CouncilWHEREAS, the City Council of Okeechobee, Florida has received the canvassed returns
WHEREAS, Jim (James) E. Kirk and Lydia Jean Williams received the highest number of
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved before the City Council for the City of Okeechobee,
Florida; presented at a duly advertised public meeting; and passed by majority vote
of the City Council; and properly executed by the Mayor or designee, as Chief
Presiding Officer for the City:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby instructed to issue
and deliver Certificates of Election to each of the above named persons.
INTRODUCED AND ADOPTED in regular session this 7 day of December, 2004.
of the City General Election held November 2, 2004; and
votes for City Council Member.
That Jim (James) E. Kirk and Lydia Jean Williams be, and they are hereby declared
elected as City Council Members and shall hold office for four (4) years from the
first Monday in January following the City General Election and until their
successors are elected and qualified as provided by the City Charter, Section 10.
