Okeechobee, Florida, December 4th, 1925
~~rsuant to call of the Mayor, the City Oouncil of Okeechobee, Florida, met
in special session at 7.30 o'cloct p. m. on the above date and the following were
present: -T. W. Conely, Jr. , Mayor, H. H. DeYarman, President of the Oity Council,
Councilmen J. D. Bird, H. H. Hancook and L. F. Schaaf schwerdt with R. P. Fletcher,
Clerk, L. W. Jennings, City Attorney, F. E. Lawrence, City Engineer and W. E.
Darrow, Associate City Engineer in attendance.
Mayor Conely stated that the meeting had been called for the purpose of oon-
sidering the matter of calling a bond election to:-autho'l'ize the issuing of bonds
for municipal improvements and for such other business as may come before the
Oouncil.
- Mr. McGrath addressed the Council and requested Oouncil to sell him water for
his sub-division West of the City limits.
Motion was made by Councilman Bird, seconded by Councilman Hancock that City
sell Mr. McGrath water at West Oity limits for his subdivision. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Councilman Scharfsohwerdt, seconded by Councilman Bird
that City send' off additional blocks for further t$st of olocksused in"';.tbe oon-
struction of building on Lots 5 & 6, Block 168 by J. Ginsberg, and that J. Gins-
berg be served with written notice that if former test of blocks is corrobrated
by new test that said building will be ordered removed. Motion passed.
The Council then took up the matter of calling a bond election at an early
date and after discussing the matter in detail, Council postponed final action
until next regular meeting.
Upon motion Council adjourned. .,

O'Clock~on the above date and the following were present: T. W. Conely, Jr., Mayor,
Councilmen J. Denha~ Bird, H. H. Hancock, L. F. Scharfschwerdt and H. T. Bass, with
R. P. Fletcher, Clerk, F. E. Lawrence, City Eng1nee~, L. W. Jennings, City Attorney,
and Clint Bass, Chief of Police in attendance.
President DeYarman being absent, President pro-tern Bird presided over the
meeting.
Minutes of meetings held December 1st and December 4th were read and approved.
Mr. Don P. Johnston addressed the Council in regard to the dedication of cer-
tain streets in East Okeechobee betweeh Riverside Park Subdivision on the North
and Wright's Addition and Oke~chobee Development Company's Addition on the South,
Mr. O. B. Bowen appeared befoee the Council and requested Council to grade
First Street from Kissimmee Street to Miami Street.
