Pursuant to call of Mayor T. W. Conely, Jr., the City Council met 1n speoial
sess10n at 7.00 o'olook p. m. on the above date and the following were present:
T. W. Conely, Jr., Mayor, H. H. Dey,rman, President of the Oounc1l, Councilmen
L. F. Soharfschwerdt, H. T. Bass, J. D. Bird and H. H. Hanoock with R. P. Fletcher,
Clerk and L. W. Jennings 'äty Attorney in attendance.
Mayor Conely stated tñat the meet1ng had been called for the purpose of con-
8ider1ng the matter of granting building permit for an add1t10n to the building
now occupied by the Hwte.n Grooe:ry Company.
Messrs Hudson and Williamson addressed the Oounoil and requested the Council
of corJ;Ug8.ted iron ~
to mOd1fy the building ordinance so that they can bu1ld an addit10n/,to warehouse
now occupied by Hudson Grooery Oompany. ~
President DeYarman asked to be excused from the meeting at this time and

Motion was made by Councilman Bird and duly seconded that the Council modify
OrdinAnce 10. 79 and said motion was adopted by the following vote:

Motion was made by Councilman Bass, seconded by Councilman Hanoock that Or-
d1Danoe No. 79 be amended in the fourth paragraph of Sect1on 22 add1ng the follow-
ing words: . But buildings w1th wooden framework clad with sheet metal or veneered
with brick when used exclusively for warehouse purposes shall not be so classed ~
nor shall stucco buildings over metal lathe or frame within the fire limits be -~
classed as frame OU1J.d¡'IlgS when not over two stories and not over thirty-five feet
1n heighth. Uotion passed. -,
Mr. Peter Raulerson appeared before the Council with reference to the improve-
ments to be made on Second Street in South Okeechobee, and requested the Council
not to improve said street between Kisslmee Street and Parrott Avenue.
Upon motion the Council adjourned.
