Jhe City Council met in regular session at g o'clock P. M. on the above date I
and t,he following were present: H. H. DeYarman, President City Council, Councilmen
H. T.- Bass, H. H. Hancock, J. Denba.m Bird and L. F. Scharfschwerdt with R. P.
Fletpher, Jlerk, Clint Bass, Chief of Police and L. W. Jennings, City Attorney in
a ttepdance.
Minutes of meeting held July 17th were read and approved.
Mr. R. E. Hamrick appeared before the Council and requested permission to dig
a ditph from East City limits on Avenue C to Taylor Creek.
Upon motion by Councilman Hancock, seconded by Councilman Bird, Council granted
R. E. Hamrick permission to dig ditch on Avenue C from East City limits to Taylor Cte
= Creek.
petition was received requesting Council to pass an ordinance p.,oviding fOO"
- the inspection of fresh meat and milk.
Upon motion by Councilman Bird, seconded by Councilman Bass and duly aarried,
the C~::)Uncil granted Fordham & Kirkland, Inc. permission to pave Hil1sborough Street,
the City to pay one-third of the cost of paving said street when funds are available,
and said paving to be done under supervision of City Engineer.

to hie dwelling.
Upon IT~otion by Councilman Bass, seconded by Councilman Bird, Council agreed
on North Park Street
to extend ß inch water main/to West City limits and also lay 4 inch water main from
North Park Street to South City limits.
Upon motion by Councilman Bass, seconded by Councilman Bird, Council agreed to
finisñ small well at City pumping station.

ginning August 1st.
Ap)lication of Lon Stewart for position of night policeman was received.
The Council proceeded to the election of a night policeman and the vote was as
follows:
Lon stewart received three votes.
G. S. Waller received one vote
J. W. Johnson received one vote
Lon Stewart was declared elected night policeman of the City of Okeechobee.

Pursuant tò advertisement in Okeechobee News, a newspaper published in the City
of Okeechobee, Florida, the City Council met in special session at 2 o'clock P. M.
on the above date to receive and open bids and consider same for the sale of City
of Okeechobee Municipal Time Warrants, Issue of 1925, and the føllowing were present:
T. W. Conely, Jr., l~yor, H. H. DeYarman, President of the City Council, Councilmen
J. Denham Bird, and H. T. Bass, with R. P. Fletcher, City Clerk and L. W. Jennings,
City Attorney in attendance.
4 Mayor Conely stated that the purpose of the meeting was to receive, open and
consider bids for the sale and purchase of City of Okeechobee Municipal Improve-
ment Time W~rrants, Issue of 1925.
President DeYarman asked publicly if all bids were in the hands of the City ¡
