Pursuant to call of President H. H. DeYarman, acting Mayor in absence of Mayor -~
Oonely.from City, the City Council met in special session at 8.00 o'clock P. M. on.
the above date and the following were present: H. H. DeYarman, President City Council,
Councilmen J. D. Bird, L. F. Scharfschwerdt and H. T. Bass with R. P. _Fletoher, Clerk
in attendance.
President DeYarman as acting Mayor stated that the meeting of the Council had,
been called for the purpose of considering the matter of extending the City limits
on the.South side of City.
Messrs Don P. Johnston and W. E. Holmes appeared before the Councilln regard
to the.propsed extension of the City limits on the South side of City. and petition ~
requesting the extension of said City limits was presented to Council by them.
Motion was made by Councilman Bird that the Council request Hon. L. W. Jennings,

Repres'entative in the Legislature, to introduce a bill in the Florida Legislature
limits
providing for the extension of the Ci!I/to include the North-east Quarter of Seation
Twenty~eight, Township Thirty-seven, Range Thirty-five,and said motion was seconded
by Councilman Bass and carried by unanimous vote.
Upon motion the Council adj ourned. /

Pursuant to advertisement in the Okeeohobee News, a newspaper published in.the
City of Okeeohobee, rlorida~ the City Council met in special session at 4 o'clock
P. M. on the above date and the following were present: T. W. Conely, Jr., Kayor,

President DeYarman being absent, Councilman J. D. Bird~ President pro-tern. of the
Oounoil prestded over the meeting.
Mayor Conely stated that thE QounOil had met for 'the purpose of receiving and
considering bids for the construction of sidewalks through City Park and curb and
gutter around City Park as specified in advertisement in Okeechobee News.
Sealed bids were received and read as follows:
George A. Rogers, total amount of bid $2285.20j R. M. Mitchum total amount of
bid $2056.96.
Motion was made by Councilman Bass, seconded by Councilman Scharfsohwerdt that --
Council accept bid of R. M. Mitchum and the vote on roll call was as follows:
