r- The Mayor and City Council met in special session at g o'clock P. M. on the
above date, pursuant to-aall of the Mayor and the following were present: T. W. Oon-
ely, Jr., Kayor, H. H. DeYarman, President City Council. Councilmen J. .Denham Bird, ~
Jr.
H. T. Bass and H. H. Hanoook with R. P. Fletcher, Clerk, B. L. Jennings, City Attor-
ney, and Clint Bass, Chief of Police in attendance.
The Mayor stated that the purpose of the meeting was to consider an ordinance
providing for water rates and o~her- regulations pertaining to water supply~and such

other business as may come before the Council.

Bird and.oarried by unanimous vote:

AN ORDINANOE OREATING A WATER OOMMITEE AND A SUPERINTENDENT OF WATER WORKS
- FOR THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE~ FLORIDA; PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF SAID COMMITTEE AND
SUPERINTENDENT, THEIR QUALIFICATIONS AND FUNCTIONS; PRESORIBING THE MANNER AND
UABS IN WHICH WATER OmTNECTIONS MAY BE MADE; PROHIBITING UNAUTHORIZED OONNECTIONS
AND DESTRUCTION OR-DAnGE1;ITO THE WATER SYSTEM OF OKEEOHOBEE AFORESAID~ AND PRES*-
, CRIBING A PENALTTYFOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF~ AND PRESCRIBING WATER RATES FOR SAID
CITY AND PROVIDING PUNISHMENT FOR VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE REGULATIONS IN SAID
ORDINANCE.
Said Ordinanoe No. gg was duly approved by the Mayor and ordered filed by the

Motion was made by Councilman Bird, seconded by Councilman Bass and duly

carried that the City Attorney be instructed to draw ordinance extending the inner

and outer fire ~ones.
. Upon motion by Councilman Bird~ seconded by Councilman Bass and carried the
City Engineer was authorized to order a pipe pusher for the City.

Mr. Coffman addressed the Council relative to making the moving pictures for
-, the City.
Upon motion the Council adjourned.

Mr. D. R. McNeill appeared before the Council in regard to the extension of
the City limits on the South side of the City.
