Pursuant to the following oallof the Major, the City Council of the City of
Okeeohobee, Florida met in special session at the City Oounoil Chambers at 7.30
o'clock P. M., April 3~ A. D. 1925, and at said meeting there were present: Mayor
T. W. Conely, Jr., Councilmen H. H. Deyarman, President, J. Denham Bird, H. H. Han-
cock and L. F. Soharfsohwerdt with R. P. Fletoher, Clerk and L. W. Jennings, City

I, T. W. Conely, Jr., Mayor of the City of Okeeohobee, Florida, do hereby call .-
a special meeting of the City Oounoil of the City of Okeeohobee, Florida, to be held
at the Council Chamber within the City of Okeeohobee~ on the 3rd day of April, A. D.
1925, at the hour of 7.30 P. M. for the purpose of considering an ordinance desig-
nating depositories for proceeds of Waterworks Extension Bonds, issue of 1925 and
for such other business as shall come before it.
You and each of you are hereby commanded and notified to be at and attend the
Ii aforesaid meeting at the place herein named.
II WITlESS WHERIOF, I have hereunto set my hand as Mayor of the City of Okee-
chobee, Florida, and caused the corporate seal of the said City to be affixed hereto -
and the same attested by the City Clerk, this 3rd day of April A. D. 1925.

BEE WATERWORIS EXTENSION BONDS, ISSUE OF 1925, AND TO BE CUSTODIANS OF THE PROCEEDS
FROM THE SALE OF SAID BONDS. ~
WHEREAS, Section II. of Ordinanoe Number ð6 of the ordinances of the City of
Okeeohobee, rlorida~ provides that: I A bank or banks or other depository to be

designated by the City Council shall receive and be custOdian ot said bonds and all
,- moneys arising from the sale of said bonds~" and
WHEREAS, said section and ordinance was referring to an issue of bonds of the
City of Okeechobee, Florida, aforesaid designated and known as Oity of Okeeohobee
Waterworks Extension Bonds issue of 1925, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THi MAYOR AID OITY OOUHCIL OF THE CITY or OKEEOHOBEE, FLORIDA:
Section I. Peoples Bank of Okeeohobee and Bank of Okeeohobee, both aforesaid
banks being banking corporations incorporated under the laws ot the State of Florida~
shall receive and be custodian of City of Okeeohobee Waterworks Extension Bonds
issue of 1925 and of all moneys arising from the sale of said bonds.
Section II. Peoples Bank of Okeeohobee shall receive and be custodian of bonds
referred to in Section L of this Ordinance of the par value of $55,000.00 numbered
~- from one to fifty-five inclusive and of all moneys arising from sale of said bonds.
Section III. Bank of Okeeohobee shall receive and be custodian of bonds referred
to Section I of this Ordinance of the par value of $55,000.00 numbered from fifty-
six to one hundred and ten both inclusive and of all moneys arising from sale of
said bonds,
Section IV. All ordinances and parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith are
hereby repealed. ..
Section V. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage and approval by the Mayor.
Read a first time and by unanimous consent passed to a second reading; read a
second time and by unanimous consent passed to a third and tinal reading; read a
third time and passed in open session of the City Oouncil this 3rd day of April A. D.
1925.

Motion was made by Councilman Bird, seconded by Councilman Schartsohwerdt,
that the County Representative be requested to amend the Charter of the City of
Okeeohobee, giving the City the power to declare nuisances and exempting citizens
above the age of fifty-five from City poll tax. Uotion passed.
Upon motion Oounoil adjourned.
