The City Co~cil~ of the City· of 0keechobee, Florida, met in regular adjourn-
ed session at the Clt~'Hall~on the above date at 7:ZO Po N. with the following present:
Mayor H. H. Raulerson~ President Walker, Councilmen Chandler, Gardner, Harden and
RhTmes with G. C. Dur~ance, City Attorney and Lorena Spivey, City Clerk.·
Councilman~handler moved that the Attorney be instructed to prepare
Ordinance licensing C~tract°rs of all kinds, fee to be $25.00 per year, seconded by
Councilman Harden and tried.
Thomas i~. .141kef, Building Inspecto~, appeared before the Council and dis-
cussed his dutiem as ~nspector.~ The Council agreed to meet With tho zoning CommiSsion,
Building Inspector an any interested Contractor, April 24, 1956 at 7:30 P M. for a
discussion. '
J. E. Cone ~peared requesting that all Furniture Dealers be licensed. The
Council agreed to hav~~:? all Dealers notified that 0ccupatio~al License mu~ be obtained.
Rolland A. ~arp of Lanning, Sharp and Associates, Inc. Sanitary Engineering
Firm WaS present and ~iscussed the proposed sewer program and water alterations,
s~ating that the cost 6f a survey would not exceed $5,000.00. The Cotmcil agreed to
meet with CommtsSione~s~ and request their help in financing this survey.
Upon motion~the Council adjourned to meet April 24, 1956.
