1983-08 Street LeasesRESOLUTION NO. 83-8 WHEREAS, in 1959 the City of Okeechobee deemed it expedient to make a trade • with owners of certain street rights-of-way, and WHEREAS, the trade of said rights-of-way resulted in the relocation of Southwest Eighth Street in a northerly direction from its platted position, and WHEREAS, by the closing of the previously platted Southwest Eighth Street owners were in effect denied feasible access to their property, and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to rectify this problem, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. In consideration of the problems caused relative to access on the properties owned by Messieurs Cantrell, Stratton and Lee, the City Council, not withstanding the provisions of any other resolution concerning this matter, hereby agree to open a forty foot (401) access road from Southwest Eleventh Avenue to Southwest Twelfth Avenue through an easement and right-of-way being furnished to the City by the owners of said property. Said opening to consist of clearing and shelling to City specifications. 2. This resolution shall take effect as provided by law.
