PREglDENT CITY CO,NC'IL itt Cle November 21, 1955 The City Council of tho City of Okeechobee, Florida, met in regular adjourned session at 7:$0 P. M. on the above date at the City Hall with the following present: Mayor H. H. Raulerson, President Walker, Councilmen Chandler, Gardner, Harden and Rhymes with G~ C. Du~rance, City Attorney and Lorena Spivey, City Clerk. The Zoning Ordinance was the first business on the agenda to be discussed. A large delegation of citizens owning property on Pa~rott Avenue WB~e pre~ent' p~otesting~.the~ Zoning of Parrott Avenue from Fifth Avenue to the South city limits to single fa~ly residences. Woodrow Walker presented a petition signed by a majority of prope~,'ly7 o~'ners with property adjoining Parrott Avenue opposing the exclusion of commerical zoning along said highway. After a lenghty discussion and explaination of parts of zening ordinance Councilman Chandler presented the following 0rdina~ce and moved its adoption.
