seconded by Councilman Harden and carried.
2he City Council instructed the Clerk not to assesa that l~g ~ ~agler
Park lying pa~llel to the F. E. C. Ry. Track, said land being an un~umbe~e~ parcel
in the West er~ of Flagler Park to which City claimes title.
The Council was in agreement that the assessments on the Aband°n~ed Rail-
road Right.of ~ay assessed to Hmm~ick was valued equivalent to asses~menglt on ad-
joining prope~y therefore no action was taken on the objection.
The Oouncil having finished the reveiw and e~ualizati~l~
Assessment Roll for the year 1955 as prepared by the Dowling Appraisal Company
and presented by the City Tax Assessor and upon motion by Councilman Harden, seconded
by 'Councilman Gardner and carried, agreed to accept the Tax Roll as ~orrected and
returned to tl~ City ~ax Assessor for cort~pletion.
Upor~ motion the Council adjourned to meet October 26, 1955.

SECTION 1. ~at the City of 0keechobee, Florida, hereby levies a tax
of 1~.5 mills on each dollar valuation of real and personal property
~thin the corporate limits of the City of 0keechobee, Florida, for
the year 19~; such taxes shall be assessed ~d collected in ~e
m~er prov~ed by law, PR0~D~ HO~, that no taxes shall be assessed
against homesteads, having a valuation of~ not move than $5yO00-00:for.
SECTION 2, That 8.5 mills of such tax shall be used for General City
