Pursuant to icall of Mayor Raulerson, the City Council of the City 'of Okee-
chobee, Florida, met ~ special session in the City Hall at ?.50' P. M. slid the follow-
ing were present: MaWr Raulerson, I~esident Walker, Councilmen Chandler, Gar~[ner,
HIJ~den and Rhyles wit~ Lorena Bpivey, City
MayoP Raule~i.~on stated that the purpose of the meeting was to discUSs with
the American Legion ol~icials the ~les and regulations in operating the American
Legion Club Romm.
Carl Hoffma~, Co~mander of Post ~A with a delegation from said Post were
present and a discussi~.°n on the above was heard. A letter a~Aressed to the Post from

· E. Mc Kinney, Jr., iBeverage Director was read regarding the operation of the Club
Aft~ disuussing the matter thoroughly the Council felt that the American
Legions were e~n~ deavortng to abide by the ~ules and regulations set out in the above
mentioned let~r thereofre Councilman Chandler moved to grant license to the American
Legion Club R~, seceded by Councilman Rhymes and unanimously carried.
Upo~ motion the Council adjourned.

A d~scussion on extension of water main to Oak Grove Addition was heard.
The Council a~vised Water Supt. Kinsual to make a survey of the needed material for
this extensio~ and report to Council.
It ~s reported that Leon Yeilding had requested a culvert at his residence.
Due to the city having no culvert at this time matter was tabled.
MaySr Raulerson stated that Bruce Lyrics, Representative of the Blue Cross and
Blue Shield ~nsurance Company, requested an opportunity to meet wit~ the Council for
the purpose o~ discussing his insurance program for City employees. The Council agreed
for Mayor Raulerson to notify him that they would meet with him on October 18 at V:00 P.~.
Car~ Hoffman, Con~nander of American LegionPost #84 with a delegation of
Legion men, erS appeared before the Council to discuss the insurance of Legion members
who would be ~Cting special police and who would be on duty at any time the Chief of
