1955-08-02 Regular 426 Councilman ~ardner moved to haul the requested dirt fill to the grounds of the Episcopal Vicarage as soon as possible, seconded by Councilman Rhymes and carried. The need of two traffic lig~hts for the intersection of 0sceola Street and North and South Park ~treets was heard. After discussion Councilman Gardner moved to purchase two traffic lights for above locations, seconded by Councilman Rhymes and c~rriede The Council authorized repair of City Hall windows. The following building applications were submitted and upon motion by Council- man Harden same were approved and permits ordered issued, seconded by Councilman Gardner a~d carried: Russell Domer $1,000.00 and George A. Sage, Sr. $800.00. Harden's Ti~er Shop designated as garage for city repairs du~tng the month of July. Upon motion ~the Council adjourned. The Council feXt that he had had ample time to do so therefore requested the Clerk to notify Robbins that if the permit was not purchased within ten days the Council would legal action. take A. After discussion the Council requested that Davis submit his dee$ to the property at the next regular meeting of the Council at which time action on the ~equest would be taken. A request stating /the ~eed of an additional $100 f~or the ReCreation Program Committee was discussed. Councilman Gardner moved to grant the request, seconded by Councilman Chandler and carried. A letter from Thomas M. Cook and Company offering for sale $1'5,000 I & S Ref- unding Bonds a~ approximately 86~ flat was read. Councilman Chandler moved to accept offer purchasi~ $15,000 I & S Refunding Bonds for $13,000, seconded by Council~,n Rhymes and carried. The following building applications were submitted and upon motion by Counci~ Chandler, aeco~deA by Councilman Rhymes and carried permits were ordered issued to : John Wendt $505, J. W. Mobley $1,000, H. L. Watford $1,800, Mrs. Thelma Hanes $8,000 and Ray Lien $~6,000. Coun~lman Chandler move~ to permit the Florida Power and Light Company to purchase at cost from the city the needed culvert, seconded by Councilman Rhymes and carried. A request from G. E. ~yant, Jr. to close Hicopchee St. between Thirtheenth and Fourteehth Street in Woodland Parkd Subd. was discussed.
