Cook and Company offering for sale $13,600.~0 I & S Refunding Bonds at 86 flat. After discussion Councilman Gardner moved to acce~ the offer and to purchase the $13,600.00 I & S Refunding Bonds at 86 ~ flat(total pr ~.~ce $11,696.00) seconded by Councilman Harden and carried. , A d~scussion ~n the bids submitted at ?he Council meeting held June 6 for the purchase ~ a t~uck was heard. Councilman Rhymes moved to accept the bid from the 0keechobee Motor Company for an $ cylinder t~uck at $2,978.71 with $600.00 trade in allowance, seconded by Councilman Harden and carried. Ulm~ Ezell, county radio operator, appeared before 'Ute Council regarding the radio frequen~ being used by the City and related the need of an all night radio operator and ~equested the Council to meet with the l~ounC-~: ~ommissioners and discuss matter. G. ~. Bryant, Jr., Chairman of the County Flood Control Committee accompanie~ · by B. Cantrel~ appeared before the Council requesting the Council to~ endore the proposed Taylor Creek ~atershed Project. Upon recommendation of Attorney Du~ran~ce, Councilman Gardner moved .to endore said plans, seconded by Councilman Harden and carried. ~" Mar~n Whe~ell and Joe Bongiovanni app~a~ed before the Council regarding · the closing of North and South Curve Streets in Block 184. Wherrell stated that he had taken an ~Ption from Bongiovanni for the purchase of three lots in said Councilman Gardener moved to close North and South Curve St~x~e~s. from Pa~ott Avenue to Ktssimmee ~treet, seconded by Councilman Harden and ~arried. Attorney Dur~ance was instructed to prepare necessary 0rdinanc~. /':426 Councilman ~ardner moved to haul the requested dirt fill to the grounds of the l~iscopal Vic~'.ag$ as soon as possible, seconded by Councilm~a Rhymes and cam, ied. The need of two traffic lights for ~be intersection of 0sceola Street and North and South Park Streets was heard. After discussion Councilman Gardner moved to purchase two traffic lights for above locations, seconded by Councilman ~hymes and carried. The Council authorized repair of City Hall windows. The follo~iSg building applications were submitted ~'~d upon motion by Council- mas Harden same were ~proved and permits ordered issued, seconded by Councilman Oardner md car~l, ed: ~Russell Dom~r $1,000.00 and George A. Sage, gr. ~00.00. Harden's Ti~er Shop designated as garage for city repairs du~&ng the month of July, Upon motion}the Council adjourned.
