RESOLUTION NO. 90-12
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE ESTABLISHING A
COMPLAINT AND GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE FOR THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM, PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Okeechobee as follows:
Section One: Complaint and Grievance Procedure.
1. All complaints and/or grievances shall be submitted
in writing to the local program facilitator for
resolution.
2.
If the remedy is not provided, the
complaint or
grievance shall be heard by the city
administrator
or his designee.
3.
If the remedy is not provided, the
complaint or
grievance shall then be heard by the
city council.
4.
It shall be the policy of the city to respond
within 15 working days to all written complaints.
It shall further be the policy of
this city to
resolve complaints and grievances as
reasonably as
possible in a timely manner.
5.
Nothing in the policy or procedure is intended to
keep anyone from appealing decisions
to the Florida
Department of Community Affairs
if proper
resolution is not received.
Section Two: Effective Date.
This resolution shall be effective October 2, 1990
