Sanitary Officer Farrell met with the Cou~l regarding city ~de meat inspcctio:
submitting ~d Ordinance to this effect. After the discussion ~ this matter was tabled
until adjourned meeting to be held September 20.
Councilman Roe discussed with the Co~ci% the installation of water mains and
assessments. Attorney Durrance was req~ested to in~esttgate matter and report at next
regular meeting.
Bennie Jones api~ared ~d requested that the eJ. lcy South of his 751ace of
business on South Park Street be opomed, t~iatter ~eferred to ~arvin Mobley.
%l~e City Tax Assessor presented the City Tax Assessment Roll fo~ the
1954 for reveiw ~d egualization.
Acting Presid~t Roe announced the Cozmcil would receive ~d consider objection
to the valuation as fixed ons aid Roll by the City Tax Assessor. No objections were
received.
Upon motion ~ Co~cil Watford moved that the City Tax Assessment Roll for t he
year 1954 as prepared by the Ci~ Tax Assessor be accepted~ seconded by Councilman
Co~ r and car::.~ied.
The matter of the disturbances caused by the ~ive In ~eatre was discussed.

A building ~plication from B. A. B~ton was submitted, aporoved and permit
ordered issued in the ~o~t of $5,000.00.
