Councilman Watford moved to request the County Commissioners to include in their Secondary Road P~oject, the extension of Hancock Street from proposed site Ave.~ D - one block South fo residence of the late H. M. Hancock, seconded by Councilman Coker and carried. The need of water meters was discussed and Councilman Roe moved that the City purchase 100 meters, seconded by Councilman Watford and carried. Councilman Coker moved that the duties of the Building Inspector be taken over by the Chief of Police and the present Inspector notified of action~ seconded by Councilman Roe and carried. A building ~pplication from Chism Buckanan was presented; Councilman Watford moved to grant permit, seconded by Council.man Coker and carried. Howard Lightsey a~peared before the Cozmc!! in regard to a water line to his residence on N. 0sceola Street. After discussion the Council advised that the City was financially unable to handle matter a~ this time. Zoning of the City was discussed and it was agreed that a meeting be held for the purpose of further study and discussion of this matter. Upon motion the Coum~cil adjourned to meet Feb. Il, 1954.
