FLORIDA; AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO RECORD THE
ORDINANCE IN THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF THE CLERK OF THE
CIRCUIT COURT IN AND FOR OKEECHOBEE COUNTY, FLORIDA;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City has received an Alley Closing Application (No. 84) from Bradley G.
Goodbread, on behalf of George Goodbread, GAG BEE, Inc, and G-4 Land N Cattle
Company, for the closing of a certain alleyway as described in this ordinance to
utilize the property for future development; and
WHEREAS, a review of such application reveals that it is in the best interest of the citizens
of the City of Okeechobee as a whole to grant said application; and
WHEREAS, the granting of the application will serve a legitimate public interest and is a
proper exercise of the municipal authority of the City of Okeechobee as a
discretionary function;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Okeechobee,
Florida; presented at a duly advertised public meeting; and passed by majority vote
of the City Council; and properly executed by the Mayor or designee, as Chief
Presiding Officer for the City:
Section One.
The alleyway described hereafter is hereby closed, vacated and
abandoned by the City of Okeechobee, Florida to-wit:
The alley running North to South, located directly between
Lots 4 and 5 of Block 46, First Additional to South
Okeechobee according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat
Book 1, Page 17 and between Lots 1 through 4 and 5
through 8 of Block 1, Royal Oak Addition, according to the
plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 1 Page 8, of the public
records of Okeechobee County, Florida.
Section Two.
The City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of the ordinance to be
recorded in the public records of Okeechobee County, Florida.
Section Three.
This ordinance shall be set for final public hearing the 6th day of
February. 2007, and shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.

Alley - Closing application from Bradley G. Goodbread.
The Engineering Department has visited the site and found that future
drainage problems may be generated near the requested abandon
subject City of Okeechobee Alley.
We are aware of the critical drainage problems on City of Okeechobee
City, and for that reason the Engineering Office will recommend not
approving the request for the Alley Closing until future Master
Drainage Plans for the City of Okeechobee is presented.
It is the Engineering Department's opinion that the City of Okeechobee
Council shall be very cautious before approving abandoning any Alleys.

You spoke with Brad..have you spoken with Sizemore? Is there a form that Mr Sizemore expressed
his dissatisfaction thereon? Where is Sizemore aLthe Southwestern most side of the block? What
is Sizemore's issues? Dowling indicated in an email that Sizemore may be more receptive now that
there is a commitment to remove the bar...is there a commitment to do that? What is Brad's
intention anyway. What did Lowry run into? Please supply all the info you have on the matter so
that I can take my turn at it.

Just wanted to let you know about items that the council gave instructions to
you.
Alley Application for Brad in Blocks 46 & 1 with Mr. Sizemore. The Council
wants you to meet with Brad and/or Sizemore and see whether a solution can
be worked out so that the entire alleyway can be closed. This has be to done
prior to the Dec 5 meeting, if you can not get the agreement the Council will
make a final decision. Dowling indicated he may have some idea's. I had already
gotten Lowry involved to resolve it, but Mr. Sizemore didn't budge so you may
want to get w/ Dowling first, Let me know if you need more info on this. Brad's
already been here this morning wanting to know what he needed to do to et
