SECTION 1; That the rules and regulations now promulgated or hereafter
promulgated by the Florida State Board of Health, pursuant to Chapter 381,
Florida Statutes 1949, or any amendments thereto, known as "The Sanitary Code
of the State of Florida", excepting Chapters 1, 3, 4 and 19, is hereby adopt-
ed as the Sanitary Code of the City of Okeechobee, Florida.
SECTION ~: Any person, firm or corporation violating within the corporate
limits of the City of Okeechobee the provisions of the State Sanita~ code or
of this Ordinanee Shall be punished, u~on conviction thereof, by a fine not
exeeedin~ $ ~00.00 or by improspnment in t he city Jail for a period not
to exceed 95 days, or both, such fines or imprisonment in the discretion of
the Mayor.
SECTION ~: Ail ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: The provisions of this Ordinance are severable and if any
section, sentence, clause or phrase thereof is, for any reason, held to be
unconsitutional or invalid, the decision of the Court shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance.
SECTION $: This Ordinanee shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and approval by ~he Mayor, or its becoming a law wi~hbut his approval
as provided by law.

The City ~euncil of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, met inre~ular ad-
Jo~mned session at the city hall at ~:30 P. ~. on the above date with the following~
present: Mayo~ H. H. Raule~son, President Chandler, Councilmen Roe and Watford
with G. C. Du~rance, ~y Attorney and Lo~ens Spivey, City C~ rk.
State Board of Health Engineers including Mr. Wakefield, Mr. Plumber,
Ramseur and John W. Greenly, County S~nita~y Officer were present and discussed with
the Council and Mr. Roscoe Markham the sewer problem. After dismussion the Council
agreed to have Mayor Raulerson contact Belcher Oil Company and get a figure on the
proposed sewer line from Markham,s Canning Plant to the creek also to obtain price

on terra cotta pipe and report to the Council at regular meeting date.
Upon motion the Council adjourned.

The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, met in regular adjourned
session at the City Hall on the above date at 7:00 P. M. with the following present:
Ma~ror H..q. Raulerson, President Chaadler, Councilmen Roe, Thomas, Warlord and Williams,
with Durranee, City Attorney and Lorena Spivey, City Clerk.
Minutes of the meetings held March 5 and 24, 1952, were read and appr&ved as

Councilman Roe moved to change the hour of Council meeting from 7:00 P. M. to
7:50 p. M. seconded by Councilman Watford and carried.
Councilman Watford moved to have 15 minute parking signs painted on four stall~
directly in front of the Post Office, hour to be enforce from 8:00 A. M. to 6:00 P. M.
and to nul and void all preeeeding motions, seconded by Councilman Thomas and carried.
Discussion as~the removal of the cuation light was heard and ta~ed for furthex
consideration.
I~r. Crantell appeared before ~he Council and requested the use of the Council
room to hold a Bible Study sponsored by the Jehovah Witnesses. The Council advised
to
that they had agreed preveously not to let the hall out for use k~ any organization.
The need of an additional Patrolman to help control the1 traffic within our
city was discus~d. It was agreed that the Mayor and President write a letter to the
