Upon motio~ Co~ci~ latfor~ moved that the City ~ax Assessment Roll for the 275 year 1950 as prepared by the City Tax Assessor be accepted and said ?ax Roll returned to the City Tax Assessor for completions Motion seconded by OoUncilman Mc 'Dougald and c arri ed. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF TAXES FOR THE YEAR 1950 FOR THE CI~ OF OXEECHOBEE, FLORIDA. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CI~ COUNCIL OF THE CIqsff OF OKEECHOBEE, FLOE[DA: Section 1. That the City of Okeechobee, Florida, here~y levies a tax of 20 mille on each dollar valuation of real and personal property within the corporate limits of the city of Okeechobee, Florida, for the year 1950; such taxes shall be assessed and collected in the manner provided by law, PROVIDED HO~EVER, that no taxes shall be assessed against homesteads, ,having a valuation of not more than $5,000.00 for the General ~Fu~d of said citye Section 2. That A mills of such tax shall be used for ,General City purposes and shall be assessed, for the General iFu~d of said City. That 15 mills of such tax shall be assessed for the interest and sinking fund for the payment of. interest an~ principal of General Refunding Bonds, IsSue of 1942, of said City. Section 5. It shall be the duty of the Tax Collector of said City and the City Clerk of said City, to divide the pro- ceeds received from said taxes as aforesaid, into the funds set out in Section 1 of this Ordinance and keep full and correct account of the same as they may be directed by the City Council. Section A. Ail Ordinances, or parts of Ordinances, in con- flict herewith be, and the same are hereby repealed. Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage by the City cOuncil and approval by the Mayor. PASSED AND ADOPTED in special this 9th day of October, A. D.
