The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, met in regular s'ession
at the City Hall at 7:00 P. M. on the above date with the following present: Mayor
H. H. Raulerson, President R. E. Chandler, Councilmen Martin, Nix and Watford with G. C.
Du~rance, City Attorney and Lorena Pea~ce, City Clerk.
Minutes of the meeting held Januax~y 9, 1950, were read and approved as read.

R. B. Meserve appeared and requested that Hale Street east of the Fa~mers
Market be g~aded. The Council agreed that this be done.
R. B. Meserve and S. H. Mc Dougald appeared before the Council in ~egard to
the so~ ordinance. Attox-ney Durrance was reqUested to meet with the above and work
out plans to be submitted at next meeting of the Council.
K. L. Sharp appeared in regard to the maintenance agreement offered by
Company on the water tank. After discussion the Council agreed to table matte~ indefim~t
Mi,s ~aiiie Thomas appeared ~nd re~uestsd that the ditches around her property
be opened. The Council refer~ed matter to Marvin Mobley.
Water Superintendent Kinsaul inquired as the possibility of placing an order
fo~ new meters. Councilman Martin moved that the Superintendent be authorized to order

Piping water into colored town was discussed. The Council requested the

the street was being used much more ~d ~e cars were ~aging his property. Matter
