ACTION DISCUSSION - VOTE
I
Petition 01-001-SE is a request to allow a Day Care in a Multi Family Zoning District.
The Owner is Fawn Jenkins and the Applicant is Robin and Michelle Connelly. The
property is located at 1308 Southwest 2nd Avenue and legally described as Lots 3 and
4, Block 21, South Okeechobee, according to Plat Book 5, Page 7, Public Records of
Okeechobee County, Florida.
Planning Consultant John Domer of LaRue Planning Services, stated Staff recom-
mended the Special Exception be granted since it meets all required conditions as set
out in the Land Development Regulations
The purposed use is not contrary to the Comprehensive Plan requirements. A Day Care
Center is allowed as a special exception use with appropriate safeguards and meet
proper design standards with ingress, egress and landscaping in order to avoid negative
public impacts traffic impacts and unsightliness

The proposed use would not adversely affect property values or living conditions, nor be
a deterrent to the development of adjacent property. It will not create a density pattern
that will over burden public facilities including schools, streets and utility services. The
proposed use will be required to be properly designed to not create traffic congestion
flooding or drainage problems and public safety.

findings contained in the Staff Report; seconded by Member Hoover.
