III. MINUTES
A. Motion to dispense with the reading and approve the Summary of III Member Mueller moved to dispense with the reading and approve the Summary of

Planning Consultant John Robertson stated that the ordinance sets out criteria for
granting a variance. Mr. Robertson went over the staff report for the board members.
Planning Consultant Robertson stated it appears that the applicant purchased an
existing building that did not have a carport or a side porch. Planning Consultant
Robertson stated that the addition would be an improvement to the property and is
consistent with other houses, in the area, that has garages and would be in hannony
with surrounding residences and probably increase the value of the property. Member
Mueller stated finding that Application No. 99-002 V is in conformance with the
Comprehensive Plan and that is a matter of law that approval be determined on the
findings in the Planning Consultants's report; seconded by Member Keller.
NEW BUSINESS.
Consider Petition 99-002-V Applicant/Owner J Wade Lawrence.
The Property is located at 1103 Southwest 3rd Street is legally
described as lots 4 and East 20 feet oflot 5, Block 7, Southwest
Addition, to allow a seven foot set back for an addition of a
carport utility room and porch to the existing house.
