June 14, 2005 Code Enforcement Board meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Chairperson Worley,

There were no request for the addition, deferral or withdrawal of items on today's agenda.
Code Officer Hancock stated the property owner in Case# 04-173 had a mobile home that had been damaged
from a hurricane and property needed cleaning. He stated the owner had been notified but nothing had been
done. Member Gamiotea moved to impose a twenty-five dollar per day fine commencing at the time owner
receives notification; seconded by Member Irby.

Code Officer Hancock gave testimony that a certified letter to remove a disabled vehicle had been received but
owner had not responded. Member Sweda and Member Irby asked the Code Officer if he had been able to
make verbal contact with the owners to be sure they spoke English and understood what needed to be done.
Member Sweda moved for an attempt to be made in Case #05-035 to verbally notify owner of violation using
an interpreter if necessary and table this case until the next regularly scheduled meeting; seconded by Member
Gamiotea.

Chp. 30 Sec 30-44 General Code Officer Hancock informed the board that a dumpster had been delivered to the property in Case #05-066.
cleaning and beautification He said owner told him she had contracted to have the clean up done but would need more time to bring the
property into compliance. There was some discussion among the board as to how long owner had already been
given to get the property cleaned up. Member Castorina moved to impose a twenty-five dollar per day fine on
Case # 05-066 commencing thirty (30) days after this meeting if property has not been found in compliance at that
time; seconded by Member Irby.
