Attorney Cook gave the Code Board an update that Marvin Brantley, Case #00-01-01 was in default and
unless he had an attorney request permission to set aside the default that the court would eventually enter
an order of foreclosure. Member Irby asked if Mr. Brantley had made any payment on his fine, Attorney
Cook said he did not believe that he had. Member Montesi asked about the status on the Evelyn Dasher
Estate, Case #02-0216. Attorney Cook stated that according to Chapter #162 of the Florida Statutes
since one of the heirs has not been notified of the violation the property would have to be posted in order
to establish constructive service. Member Irby said he felt more progress needed to be made in both of
these cases.
Member Sweda requested that the Code Officers contact the owners of a vacant two story building
across from the ninth grade center to have it boarded up and maintained.
Member Irby moved to adjourn, seconded by Member Montesi. Meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
