April 8, 2003 Code Enforcement Board meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by Chairperson Worley. Member Gamiotea moved to find Case #01-0113 in violation of Sec. 8-11 and impose a fine of $10.00 per day commencing upon receipt of notification; seconded by Member Sweda. Worley - Yes Sweda - Yes Gamiotea - Yes Weisser - Yes Irby -Yes Castorina - Yes Nelson - Yes Motion Carried Member Irby moved to find Case 402-0384 in violation of Sec. 8-11 and impose a fine of $10.00 per day commencing upon receipt of notification; seconded by Member Castorina. Worley - Yes Sweda - Yes Gamiotea - Yes Weisser - Yes Irby - Yes Castorina - Yes Nelson - Yes Motion Carried Code Officer Tomey gave testimony that the previous owner of this property had been cited and the new owner was cited and said it would be taken care of, but as of this meeting nothing had been done. Member Gamiotea moved to find Case #03-012 in violation of Sec. 8-11 and impose a fine of $10.00 per day commencing twenty days from receipt of notification; seconded by Member Weisser. Tapes are for the sole purpose of backup for official records of the department. x Mack Worley, Jr., C n ATTEST: ie Christopher, Secre ary CODE BOARD ACTION Chairperson Worley reviewed the monthly report of cases currently under a fine and noted that the ninety day waiting period would be up for three cases before the next meeting. Member Irby moved to have Attorney Cook send a certified letter of pending foreclosure to Case #01-0061, #01-0074, and #01-0075 on April 20, 2003 when the ninety day waiting period is up; seconded by Member Gamiotea. Worley - Yes Sweda - Yes Gamiotea - Yes Weisser - Yes Irby - Yes Castorina - Yes Nelson - Yes Motion carried. Attorney Cook gave an update on Case #00-01-01 Marvin Brantley. He stated a Motion for Default had been filed with the Clerk of the Court after the Code Boards last meeting and Mr. Brantley would have twenty days from the filing date to respond. Attorney Cook also stated he had gotten a letter from the Attorney for the Evelyn Dasher Estate Case # 02-0216 indicating the citation was issued in a name other than the correct owner of the property. Attorney Cook is in the process of researching this, if it was cited improperly we would have to send a new notice of violation addressed to the correct owner. Member Irby moved to adjourn, seconded by Member Gamiotea. Meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m
