She said she should be moving within the next month. Member Gamiotea moved to find Case # 01-0000127 in violation of Sec. 8-8 and allow fifteen days to come into compliance after that time a fine would be imposed of thirty dollars per day, seconded by Member O'Connor. Attorney Colin Cameron represented Mr. Leggett and asked that the Cod( Board table their case until the next meeting at which time all items would be removed from the property. Member Ballinger moved to table Case# 01-0000002 until the next meeting, no second was made. Motion failed. Member Sweda moved to find Case# 01-0000002 in violation of Sec. 8-2 and allow thirty days to come into compliance after that time a fine would be imposed of thirty dollars perday, seconded by Member Weisser. Abandoned vehicles/no tag February 12, 2002 - CEB CODE BOARD ACTION ing - Page 3 of 4 Mr. Brantley gave testimony that he had closed his business and that everything would stay behind the fence. Stated he would like to request that the fine be reduced if it was permissible to do so at this time. Member Sweda moved to reduce the fine on Case# 00-01-01 to ten percent of the amount owed which would be approximately $14,500 and begin foreclosure proceedings with the stipulation that he remain in compliance until the foreclosure proceedings are finalized, seconded by Member O'Connor. After some discussion regarding the citation process, the Code Board Members decided to have the Code Officers develop a list of the types of cases they felt could be handled by writing a citation and the types of cases they felt would need to be brought before the Code Board. Chief Tomey said this would be done and the list would be distributed to the Code Board Members in time for them to review it before the next meeting. Member Worley presented a definition of improved lands for the board to consider. After a lengthy discussion, Member Gamiotea moved to have the Code Board make a recommendation to the City Council to use this as a description of what the Code Board believes should be classified as improved lands inside the City of Okeechobee, seconded by Member Weisser. Member Sweda moved to make a recommendation to the City Council that they redefine in the Land Development Regulations the permitting fees for temporary sineage and banners and consider reducing the fees, seconded by Member Ballinger. Member Gamiotea moved to table the discussion of abandoned vehicles/no tags until the next Code Board Meeting, seconded by Member O'Connor.
