Hearings of the municipal code ,violations were held by tha
Board in the Council Chambers at City Hall on Tuesday, May 14,
Chairman Jeffers called the meeting to order at 2:00 P.M.

Chairman Jeffers asked if everyone have received the minutes of March 26, 1985 meeting.
He stated if the board have found the minutes correct and had ro questions, the chair would
entertain a motion the minutes stand approved as presented. Member Walker so moved.
Seconded by member Palmore. Motion carried.
PRESENTATION OF CASES
Chairman Jeffers asked Code Enforcement Officer to present his cases.
DISMISSAL OF CASES
Lt. Farrenkopf asked the following cases be dismissed because they are in compliance.

Member Palmore moved to dismiss cases listed above. Seconded b member Walker. Motion carried.

Lt. Farrenkopf asked to continue case 54-85 until Mr. Butl r could be at the meeting.

61-85 Gary and Denise Malone - No city tags and no rabies
This case was tabled until the attorney arrives.
64-85 Space Age Video and Appliance Center - Bob Coburn
In violation of Sign Ordinance.
Mr. Coburn asked if you couldn't have a temporary sign every sia

stated he thought you could have it in front of a business. He stated he didn't realize
you had to have a permit or that you couldn't have it in front of the store. Lt. Farrenkopf
stated you can't have a sign where it can be seen by the public except inside of the building.
Mr. Westbrook stated since he did the paper work on Mr. Coburn he would ask for a
dismissal and explain the sign procdeures to him after the eeting.
Member Walker moved to dismiss case 64-85. Seconded 4 member Thompson. Motion carried.
61-85 Gary and Denise Malone - NO city tags and rabies tags.
Chairman Jeffers stated due to the attorney no being there et, the board would hear this
case and dispose of it anyway.
Member Thompson asked Mr. Sunner, of the humane depart
at the humane department when they went to pick up the dogs

Member Ridley asked if the dogs had to have tags when they were chained up. Mr. Westbrook
stated they had to have city license and a rabies tag, whether they are tied up or not.
Member Thompson moved to fine the Malones a $25.00 dollar fine and no less than 14 days
to get the tags. Seconded by member Ridley. Motion carri
