(NOVEMBER MEETING IS ON PAGE 94) REGULAR MEETING TUESI)AY, JANUARY 15, 1985 Hearings of the municipal code violations were held by tl Code Enforcement Board in the Council Chambers at City Hall of Chairman Jeffers called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. to call the roll with the following results: Deara Thompson Present Robert Ridley Present Lloyd Jeffers Present Blair Kuhlewind Present Jerry Walker Present Tommy Hoover Absent -- Excused Others present were: Code Enforcement Officer, Mallette West and Secretary, Beatrice Castorina. e Okeechobee Municipal Tuesday, January 15,1985. and asked secretary Castorina ; Attorney, David Conlon; Chairman Jeffers advised the board that Nick Collins have been elected to City Council therefore, he has tendered his resignation. Member Jeffers asked for a motion to accept Member Collins resignation. Member Kuhlewind so moved. SeCO12ded by member Walker. Motion carried. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Chairman Jeffers asked if everyone have received the minutes of November 20, 1984 meeting. He stated if the Board found the minutes correct and had no questions, the chair would entertain a motion the minutes stand approved as presented. Member Thompson so moved. Seconded by member Walker. Motion carried. PRESENTATION OF CASES Chairman Jeffers asked Code Enforcement Officer, mallette Westbrook to present his cases. DISMISSAL OF CASES Mr. Westbrook asked the following cases be dismissed becz 65-85 J.J. Zayti - Violation of Temporary Use Pei 105-84 Jack Albritton - Junked vehicle on premises, 108-84 Village Produce - Unlawful use of trailer on 121-84 Virginia Berger - Pourtly running at large. Member Thompson moved to dismiss Cases 65-85; 105-84; 108-84; member Ridley. Motion carried CONTINUED CASES use all are in compliance. mit. property. and 121-84. Mr. Westbrook asked the following cases be dismissed because Of in compliance. 65-84 J.J.Zayti - Violation of Temporary use permit. 105-84 Jack Albritton - Junked vehicle on premises. 108-84 Village Produce - Unlawful use of trailer on property. 121-84 Virginia Berger - Pourty running at large. CONTINUED CASES Mr. Westbrook asked the following cases be continued. 107-84 Ronnie Watts - Unlawful use of travel trail 90-84 Ramona McClellan 106-84 James Gilman Seconded by member on property. Member Walker moved case 107-84; 90-84; and 106-84 be continu�d. Seconded by member Thompson. Motion carried. PLAQUE FOR GORDON LEGGETT Mr. Westbrook advised the Board that a plaque have been ordered for Gordon Leggett and wants to know when they would like to have the plaque presented to Mr. Leggett. He advised it could be presented at the next Code Board meeting or the next Council meeting. Chairman Jeffers stated he would like the mayor to present the plaque to Mr. Leggett at the next Code Board meeting. He then polled the members with the following results: Deara Thompson - The next Code Board meeting. Robert Ridley - The next Code Board Meeting. Blair Kuhlewind - The next Code Board Meeting. Jerry Walker - The next Code Board Meeting. give him a 30 day grace period. David Conlon asked Mr. Zayti if he agrees that he was . #402 as Mr. Westbrook has charged. Mr. Zayti stated yes. . David Conlon: Do you propose that you will remove, if you period, the trailer. Mr. Zatyi stated yes. Attorney Conlon asked Mr. Westbrook if he and Mr. Zayti ag the trailer. Mr. Westbrook stated yes. Member Walker moved for an order of enforcement which violation of Ordinance granted the 30 day grace on the proposal to move d comand that Robert Matthews, property owner of the property site in the indictment and J.J. Zayti, Inc. the tenant, of the property, described casue to be removed from said property the office trailer now existing by January 11, 1985. Seconded by member Collins. Motion carried.
