On July 2, 2018 the Lien was recorded in Okeechobee County. The fine has now accrued for over ninety (90) days and is continuing to accrue daily. According to Chapter 162 of the Florida Statutes the City possesses the ability to file a foreclosure action against the property to collect the fine. At this time no foreclosure action has been taken against the property. However, you should contact me immediately in order to bring the property into compliance with City ordinances and stop the fine from accruing. The next regularly scheduled Code Enforcement Board meeting is November 13, 2018 at which time the Code Board could decide to recommend foreclosure.
