- Centennial Park – Bidding process is set to commence as well
as construction to follow.
- Flagler Park Landscaping – Currently proposals sought in
replacing trees in Flager parks and revitalization of the park usage.
- FDOT signalization North 9th – ON GOING – Continuing to work
with lobbyist and FDOT and HRTPO to gather additional information on
projected traffic at the intersection.
- Building Department – CONTINUED – After a “set the market”
type year, the building department in decades. The department continues
to operate in the black and projected to continue the rest of the year.
- Brantley’s- CONTINUED – there is still a is a purchase
agreement on the property and it continues to have items being removed.
Pending closing, this may turn into the Okeechobee Town Center Project.
Code enforcement is monitoring the site continually.
- Commerce Park – New development with a 90%+ chance of
fruition, property sale currently being negotiated.
- CRA designation – Presentation for potential establishment of
CRA and
- City Police Department – LT promotion to Sgt. Burnst ( PD
member for xx years), Sargent position to be awarded.
- Smoking policy – Policy to be revised to include specific
non-smoking areas as well as applicable signage for these areas.
- Okeechobee music fest coordination ongoing City Fire and
Police will be assisting the county as required.
