Me too… Would you still like to meet with them, or just wait for
the next update?

Conference call this afternoon with Duffy’s,
attorneys, Brian West and Steve Dobbs. Only a few changes to the
contracts were required. Those will be made today and final contracts
will go to West and Brantley tomorrow or Thursday for signing.
All parties are now fully on board and Steve answered
all the engineering questions as well. The Duffy are setting up a
meeting in Vegas where the committed tenants will gather to sign their
contacts and deliver their individual site plans. The Duffy’s will be
building the structures to suit and the tenants will handle the insides.
The four outparcels will be slab ready for whichever restaurants make
the cut and sign contracts first.
Once the land contracts are signed the Duffy’s will
have a total of 19.8 acres and the money needed to start moving forward
with the project. They couldn’t obtain the entire 22 acres originally
designated as the “Sisters” jumped the price way up too high for what
the property is worth. Steve will just design around that missing
corner. Once the properties have been secured they will be combined as a
unit and annexed into the City.
They have begun the site plans and will be saving as
many of the Live Oak trees as possible. Tree Locators may assist with
moving a few as they said they can handle the large trees.
So, the bottom line is we are getting very close to
hitting the GO button. Everyone on the call was very excited about the
project, which is always a good sign…. John
