is likely to becom~ an active base for tho United States Army Air Corps.
~ It ~s further brought to tho attention of this body that in the event-
of ~he air base becoming an active base for the. Army Air Corps the
no~d of transportation between the City of Okeechobee ~d the proposed
Army Air Base will be necessary for the proper ftmctioning of the Air
Base in order that the personnel connected therewith may be able to
enjoy all the facilities afforded by the Oity of Okoechobee for living
quarters, supplies, etc., therefore,
BE IT RESOLBED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE OITY OF OKE~CHOBEE does
hereby aopro,o and request Thoma.~ H. Nix to inaugurate bus ~orvice
between the City of Okoechobee and the proposed Army Air Base.
