the millage by one mill and made it clear that the following year it may have to be increased.

4. c) Motion to adopt proposed Ordinance No. 705
Council Member Chandler moved to adopt proposed Ordinance No. 705 establishing the revenues and expenditures for General

Mayor Kirk asked whether anyone from the public had comments or questions. None were stated.

Council.
Parker was for an additional five thousand dollars ($5,000.) to account 513-2500 for an unemployment compensation claim.
Council Member Chandler stated he wished to discuss the memorandum provided to the Council by Finance Coordinator Parker
explaining at the last hearing Council approved a five hundred dollar ($500) across the board raise creating a twenty-three
thousand, nine hundred fifty-nine dollar ($23,959) deficit The Council had discussed transferring the twenty-five thousand dollars
($25,000) ear marked for driveway improvements to the fire station to cover this deficit.
However, Mrs. Parker advised that the Emergency and Disaster Relief Fund has earned thirty-eight thousand. nine hundred twenty-
five dollars, thirty cents ($38.925.30) in interest over the last two years. Ifs� the Council reconsidered the five hundred dollar ($500)

dollar ($55,075) deficit. Council could transfer the earned interest plus an additional sixteen thousand. one hundred forty-nine
dollars, seventy cents ($16,149.70) from the Emergency and Disaster Relief Fund Balance to cover the deficit.
The Council discussed salary increases at length. Mayor Kirk continued to support the one thousand dollar ($1,000) across the
board increase as did Council Member Chandler. Council Member Markham also stated his support due to the information provided
by Mrs. Parker. Council Member Oliver continued to support the five hundred dollar ($500) across the board raise.
Council Member Chandler moved to amend proposed Ordinance No. 705 by increasing 525 Emergency and Disaster Relief
Fund expenditures fifty-five thousand, seventy-five dollars ($55,075), revising expenditures total to one hundred forty-eight
thousand, five hundred seventy-five dollars ($148,575.00), and fund balance three hundred nineteen thousand, two
hundred sixty-nine dollars ($319,269); then amending General Fund Revenues Transfer -In an additional fifty-five thousand,
seventy-five dollars ($55,075); revising revenue totals to five million, seven hundred seven thousand, nine hundred forty
dollars ($5,707,940), expenditures to two million, nine hundred seventy-four thousand four hundred five dollars
($2,974.405), leaving a fund balance of two million, seven hundred thirty-three thousand, five hundred thirty-five dollars
($2,733,535); seconded by Council Member Markham.
