VII. PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS.
A. Disposition of Cases presented by Code Officer Sterling: This being a quasi-judicial proceeding, an oath was administered to those offering testimony, all responded affirmatively. Officer
Sterling advised all events occurred within the corporate limits of the City of Okeechobee. The Officer's notes, testimony,
photographs, and supporting documents were all entered as part of the official record.

Ch 30 Sec 30-44 General cleaning & beautification
Officer Sterling testified service of Notice of Violation/Notice of Hearing sent via certified mail was not received by property
owner. Since the property owner was not legally notified, Officer Sterling stated Case 16-032 would need to be postponed.
Member Close moved Case No.16-032, Marie Fenton, 700 Blk SE 12`h Avenue, be postponed until the next regularly
scheduled Code Enforcement Board meeting, based on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling; seconded by Member
Denisuk.

Case No. 16-036 Officer Sterling testified notice of violation/notice of hearing sent via certified mail was returned, therefore notice was posted.
Sharon Johnson. 804 NW 1 Vh Street Officer Sterling stated Ms. Johnson called stating she is living in Jacksonville and has been trying to get the tenant evicted for
Ch 30 Sec 30-41 Disabled vehicle a couple of years. She was unaware the property had been abandoned. She advised Officer Sterling she would be coming
Ch 30 Sec 30-43 Public nuisance to Okeechobee in a few days to clean the property and remove the disabled vehicle.
Member Conrad moved Case 16-036, Sharon Johnson, 804 NW 11th Street, be postponed until the next regularly
scheduled Code Board meeting, based on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling; seconded by Member Close.

Case No. 16-040 Officer Sterling testified notice of violation/notice of hearing sent via certified mail was returned, therefore notice was posted.
Manuela Serrana Pineda. 1124 SW 8`h Street According to Officer Sterling the property owner repairs A/C units and apparently when he has a lot of units to repair there are

Ch 30 Sec 30-44 General cleaning & beautification up. Code Officer Sterling said it is a reoccurring problem. However, the property was found to be in compliance as of today.
Member Close moved to find Case 16-040, Manuela Serrana Pineda,1124 SW 8" Street, from May 5, 2016 until October
10, 2016 was in violation of Ch 30 Sec 30-43 Public nuisance and Sec 30-44 General cleaning, but was found to be in
compliance as of October 11, 2016, based on the testimony of Code Officer Sterling; seconded by Member Pippin.

ment Board (CEB) will conduct a regular meeting on Tue, October 11,
2016, 6:30 PM, or as soon thereafter as possible, at City Hall, 55 SE 3rd
Ave, Rm 200, Okeechobee, FL. The public is invited and encouraged to at-
tend. The agenda may be obtained from cityofokeechobee.com or by calling
the Code Enforcement Office, 863-357-1971.
