ATTEST:
Bonnie S. Thomas, CIVIC, City Clerk
There a was lengthy discussion on Page 57, Section 565 Sign Safety, number two. This
paragraph is concerning the "visibility triangle" which is the area on a corner lot that if a
sign is taller than two feet, six inches or is below ten feet, it cannot be in this area. The
lot sits on the corner of two streets and if a sign that is taller than two feet six inches or
lower than ten feet, it is a visual hazard for cars trying to cross the road because they
cannot see coming traffic.
Chairperson Hazellief suggested everyone think this over and bring back their
suggestions to the next workshop.
This concludes the discussion for this workshop. The Council and Committee discussed
when the next workshop should be held, it was decided that it would be Monday, May 13,
1996 at 6:00 p.m.
Chairperson Hazellief adjourned the meeting at 7:14 p.m.
