Councilman Watford stated the need of a typewriter for the Police Department office. The
Council authorized Councilman Watford to get prices on typewriter for November 23, meeting.
Attorney Hendry reported a meter reading complaint from V. F. Reeves. Supt. F6rtner
instructed to eheck meter ~ Reeves Barber Shop.
Letters of appreciation were read from the Okeechobee Memorial Post #64 and City of Kissimmee.

President Mc Crocklin reported a request for street lights from Principal Cline at location
behind Okeechobee High School and for Catholic Church on west 3rd Street. The Council felt the light
at the school'would be the school responsibility due to it being on the school grounds and agreed to
include the request from the ~atholic Church on the requested street light list.
Upon motion the Council adjourned to meet November 16, 1965, at 5:1~ P. M.

The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, met in regular adjourned session at
5:15 P. M. o~ %he above'date at the City Hall with the following present: Mayor Pro-Tempore and
President Mc Crocklin, Councilman Walker and Watford with Lorena Spivey, City Clerk.
The City Clerk presented the petitions of candidates in the Special City Election to be
held November 30, 1965 for the office of Mayor, said petitions were examined by the Council and found
to contain 25 er more qualified electors~

The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, met in regular adjourned session at the

Pursuant to notice published in the Okeechobee News regarding a public hearing to consider
rezoning from Residential (R-2) to Commercial Lots 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26, Block 163, Original Town
of Okeechobee, President Mc Cr~cktin asked if their were any objections. No objection was heard or
filed. Councilman Gardne~ moved to rezone the above described property from Residential (R-2) t~
Commercial, presenti~ t~ following Ordinance and moved its adoption and upon being seconded by
Councilman Watford was pu~t to a vote and unanimously adopted: .
