Councilman Walke~ also reported a request from Mr. Weisenberg for a water line extension to
his proposed subdivision i~northeast section outside city limits, being approximately 1,500 feet from
nearest water main. The C~ncil agreed that the City was in no position at this time to make extension.
Councilman Hunt ~ported that the big fire truck needed repair and recommended that the truck
be taken to the Ford Garag~'to determine exactly the repairs needed. The Council agreed for this to be don.
Councilman Hunt ~Oved to approve Garbage Franchise subject to execution of contract seconded
by Councilman Gardner and L~animously carried.
Mayor Mack discuSed bonds on six Auxiliary Policemen and requested permission to bond six
additional Auxiliary PolicSen. No definte action taken.
Upon motion the Suncil adjourned to meet Tuesday, September 28, 1965 at 5:15 P. M.

Names for several unnamed streets was discussed. Councilman Watford moved to designate the
South city limit street, sc~th of Royal Oak Street as "Hazellief Street"; street East of Main Street in
Okeechobee Heights as '~ile~ Road and north and south alley west of Central Avenue in Evans Subdivision
as "Thomas Street", seconde~ by Councilman Gardner and unanimously carried.
Councilman Oar~er moved to grant Wayne O. Burk two weeks severance pay seconded by Council-
man Watford and carried.
Pursuant to ~otice published in the Okeechobee News the Council sat as a Boar~ of Equalizers.

The City Tax Assessor presented the City Tax Assessment Roll for the year 1965 for review and
equalization. Preeident Mc Crocklin announced that the Council would receive and consider objections to
the valuations as fixed on said Tax Roll by the City Tax Assessor. No objections were received. After
discussion Councilman Hunt moved that the City Tax Assessment Roll for the year 1965 as prepared by the
