° ' The City Counc'il of'the City of Oke'~hob~e, Florida met in recessed workshe~ ~e~sion at
the City H~ll on the above date at 6:30 P. M. with the following present: President Donald L. Burk,
Councilmen: Russell V. Domer, Edward W. Douglas and E. H. Hunt with Attorney J. Edward Curren,
Clerk Lorena Spivey and Director of Public Works L. C. Fortner, Jr.
Attorney Curren read letter that was written to A. A. Scott also a reply from Mr. Scott
regarding an offer to sell to the City of Okeechobee water line in Bet-Her Acres Subdivision
at $10,0OO. 00.
Director Fortner presented Sept. 21 Memorandum No. l, in regards to water line in Bet-Her
Acres Subdivision owned by A. A. Scott, 76 present accounts and llO potential accounts. After
discussion the Council instructed Director Fortner to prepare up to date report on water lines in
Okeechobee Estates, in order for both offers to be considered at the same time.
A discussion by the Council and Attorney was heard on the authorized use of 8th cent gas ta~
The Council instructed the Clerk to deduct four months (June, July, August and September)
telephone bill from Donald Edgar payroll check.
Director Fortner reported a previous request from the Farmers Production Credit Association
for sewer line extension to Block 94, City of Okeechobee, requiring approximately 500 feet of pipe.
The Council instructed Director Fortner to figure cost of installation and advise the Association
they would have to assume cost of extension.
The Council recessed to meet at 6:30 P. M. September 29th, 1972.

The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida met in regular adjourned session at
the City Hall on the above date at 6:30 P. M. with the following present: Mayor Audley Dunham,
President Donald L. Burk, Councilmen: Russell V. Domer and Edward W. Douglas with Attorney J.
Edward Curren, Clerk Lorena Spivey and Director of Public Works L. C. Fortner, Jr.
Mayor Dunham reported a request for a Health Club license. The Council requested Mayor
Dunham to check with Tallahassee on requirements for this particular kind of license and request
petitioner to attend October 10th Council meeting.
Director Fortner submitted September 29 report and memorandums. Memorandum No. I - MachineS,~
needed to address water bills in the amount of $2,484.00. The Council postponed action due to the
absence of Councilmen Hunt and Breland. For the Council's study Memorandum No. 2, 3 and 4 regarding
up to date report on Ernest Evans water system. Memorandum No. 5 and No. 6 revised report on water
lines in Bet-Her Acres owned by A. A. Scott.
Councilman Douglas presented Ordinance No. 363 for final reading and moved its adoption
and upon being seconded by Councilman Domer was put to a vote and adopted:
