Trustees Present: R.P. Farrenkopf, Steve Padgett, Larry Mobley, and John P. Zeigler

Combined Pension Board meeting called to order by L.C. Fortner at 7:15PM.
Received financial and other reports from Thomas A. Horkan of INVESCO (Portfolio
Manager), Earnest Mahler of Smith -Barney, and Attorney Scott Christiansen (fund
attorney).
Attorney Scott Christiansen provided pension boards with a formatted letter to be sent to
those companies and entities that do business on a regular basis with the Pension Fund in
regards to the Y2K Problem. Attorney Scott Christiansen also indicated that the
legislatures in Tallahassee are making changes in the minimum benefits for the 175 and
185 plans are forthcoming.
Attorney Scott Christiansen discusses proposed ordinance for the Police and Fire Pension
Funds to be presented to the Okeechobee City Council at their next meeting.
Individual boards meet to conduct their business. Attorney Scott Christiansen discusses
the possible COLA implementation.
Motion by Larry Mobley to pay retired employee's payments of S17,115.48 and
following expenses:
Gabriel, Roeder, Smith & Co. S1,863.00
INVESCO $6,940.07
Christiansen & Dehner $ 840.56
Seconded by R.P. Farrenkopf. Motion was carried unanimously.
Motion by Steve Padgett to approve the minutes of the November 9, 1998 Police Pension
Fund Meeting. Seconded by Larry Mobley. Motion was carried unanimously.
Motion by Larry Mobley to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Steve Padgett. Meeting
adjourned at 8:25PM.
