Due ~ the dangerous condition of present tower the Council felt this to be an emergency, Councmlman Hunt recommended and moved to authorize Domer's Machine Shop to baild a 35 foot tower furnishing all material including a safety rail seconded by Council- man Gardner and u~nimously carried. A lette~ was read from Joe C. Woolf regarding the work and improvements at sewer plant suggesting that the plant bt operated as an Activated Sludge Plant which would require minor modifications. After discussion the CoUncil agreed /use the Activate~ Sludge System as recommended by Joe C. Woolf alsc authorize the purchase of n$cessary plastic pipe for sewer plant. Mayor M$ck recommended that the Council request the Legislature to amend the Charter to provide for the appointme!t of a Prosecuting Attorney and to authoriZe the Police Officers of the City of Okee- chobee to make attests outside the premises of CiTM in fresh pursuit. Councilman Watford moved to advertize notice of Legislation of intention to apply to the 1965 Session of the FlOrida Legislature for an Act authorizing Police Officers of theCity of Okeechobee to make arrests outsAde the corporate premises of City, proViding such arrest is made in fresh ~rsuit, seconded by Counc~an Gardner and unanimously carried. Counci~n Gardner moved to advertize notice of 'Legislation of intention to apply to the 1965 Session of the Fl~ida Legislature for an Act authorizing the ~ity Council to appoint a Prosecuting Attorney, seconder by Councilman Watford and unanimously carried. An appl$Cation was received from J. H. Ward requesting that Lots 1, 2 and 3 ~aylor Creek Manor be rezoned from A~icultural to Commercial. Councilman Walker moved to authorize the Clerk to publish motice of public ~aring, seconded b~ Councilman Hunt and carried. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO AMEND CITY ZONING ~RDINANCE ~271 NO~ICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida a municipal corporation, will consider rezoning from AGRICULTURAL to COMMERCIAL and to amen~ accordingly the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance #271 adopted November 21, 1955, ~ following described real ~property, situate, lying and being within the corpora~ limits of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, to-wit: Lo~s 1, 2 and 3 TAYL'~R CREEK MANOR~ and that a public hearing in relation thereto will be held at 7:00 P. NOTICE NOTICE XS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Okeechobee, ~lorida, will receive sealed bids for the purchase of ~EGULA~ GASOLINE and DIESEL to be delivered to the City Hall for a period of ohs year beginning April 6, 1965. Ail bid$~ will be opned in the Council Chamber on Tuesday, April 6, 1965 at 7~00 P. M. Also a water line extension request from Don Stewart to Lots 5 & 6, Block 73 requiring approximately 175 feet of pipe from approved S. D. A. Church new water line and a request from Lamonte Moore for water line extension requiring approximately 750 feet of pipe to property east of State Road 98 north of Twelfth Street. After consideration and discussion Councilman Walker moved te grant request ar install water line extensiol to Don Stewart property Lots 5 and 6, Block 73 upon payment of tap fee and water deposit and also upon payment of three water tap fees ama deposits i~nstall water line to Mc Whorter property and twe other property owners in Clay Subdivision South of State Road 70 seconded by Councilman Gardner and carried. Councilman Gardne~ moved to suDscribe for one year subscription to Water and Sewer Journals, to be mailed to City Hall, seconded by Councilman Walker and carried. Upon motion the CSuncil adjourned.
