A rezoning application was presented from Samce Sales, Inc. by Murray L. The Council ordered this matter to be put on workshop agenda. President Gardner discussed a drainage problem on Tennessee Street in Okeechobee Estates. After discussion Councilmaa Padgett moved to purchase necessary culvert and install same in an effort to correct drainage problem in said area, seconded by Councilman Breland and carried. A request from Ernest Evans for additional street lights in Okeechobee Estates was reported. ~lhe Council authorized location te be added te list of requested street lights. A bill from Jehm H. Walker in the amount of $34.70 for damage to carpet in his h~me damaged by city sewer was presented. The Council agreed te investigate matter. It was reported that the Chief of Police and City Clerk were unable te take all ef their vacation, due te their duties, therefore Ceuncilma~ Walker moved to authorize 1 week extra pay for each, seconded by Councilman Hunt and unaaimously carried. Councilman Brela~d moved that the city authorize four uniforms for eac~ new Policemen being employed by the City seconded by Ceuncilman Padgett and unanimously carried. The need of a larger culvert on Hale Avenue te be investigated. P~rsuant te notice published in the Okeechobee News regarding a public hearing te cmasider rezoning from Residential (R-2) te Residential (R-3) Lets 1 te 20 inclusive, Block 22, Northwest Additdon, also 'to consider application for special permit for trailer park on above described pre- perty, President Gardner asked if their were a~y ebjectiens to rezoning the above described property. A petition was submitted /signed by thirty-eight property owners (adjacent and ether~ise) of said area objecting ~ the rezoni~. Present objecting to the rezoning were: Boa Briney, Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Bailey, Jo Ann O'Donnell and Frank Finley. Mr. Murray Cribb was also present. The Council went int~ Executive Session. The Council came into Open Session. PEESIDENT -OITY COUNCIL ATTEST: ~~ CITY December 9, 1969 The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, met in regular session at the City Hall on the above date at 7:00 P. M. with the following present: President Gardner, Councilman Breland, Hunt, Padgett and Walker with Attorney Curren and Clerk Spivey. Minutes of the meetings held November 4 and 18, 1969 were read and approved as read. Kenneth Mathews, Supt. of Public Instruction and Frank Platt, School Board member were present discussing with the Council and requesting a water line extension to the new school site, south of South Fourteenth Street, said site being approximately 2000 feet from water tank. After discussion the Council agreed to request meeting with Okeechobee Beach Water Association to discuss the possibilit of the school getting water from the Association due to this line being much closer to school site. Also a request for sewer line extension to school site was discussed. The Council advised that due to ~'~ distance and ~nount of money involved to make such a extension it was impossible for the city to grant request. Pursuant to notice published in Okeechobee News in regards to public hearing to consider amending Ordinance No. 326, President Gardner asked if their were any objections to the amendment. No objection was heard or filed, therefore, Councilman Walker presented the following Ordinance and moved its adoption and upon being seconded by Councilman Breland was put to a vote and unanimously adopted: ORDINANCE NO. 335 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 326, BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE DISTRICT REGULATIONS ESTABLISHED UNDER THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE'S ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 271, PROVIDING FOR TRAILER RESIDENCE USES UNDER AGRICULTURAL (A) ZONING BY AMENDING SUB-PARAGRAPH "b" THEREOF TO REDUCE MINIMUM LOT STREET FRONTAGE FROM 75 FEET TO 50 FEET, AND BY AMENDING SUB-PARAGRAPH "c" THEREOF TO REDUCE MINIMUM SET-BACK REQUIREMENTS THEREIN FROM 35 FEET TO BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 326, which amended the District Regulations which are part of Ordinance No. 271, of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, be and the same is hereby, c changed and amended as follows: 1. Sub-paragraph "b" of Ordinance No. 326 of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, is hereby amended by reducing minimum street frontage from 75 feet to 50 feet so that said sub-paragraph "b" shall read as follows: (b) No trailer shall be located on prooerty having a street frontage of less than 50 feet and a depth of less than 120 feet, and such dimensions shall be minimum area for each trailer. 2. Sub-paragraph "c" of Ordinance No. 326 of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, is hereby amended by reducing minimum set back requirements therein from 35 feet to 25 feet,
