Ail of said block being the property of Leroy Chandler who re- quested the above action. Feeding of city prisoners was discussed by Jailer 01~n Godv~n with matter being r~f~rred to Councilman Pearce for investigation of the amount paid by the county for feeding county prisioners. ~e Council agreed to pay the same rate as County and to be effective as of March 1, The matter of the City paying the Engineering fee for relaying water line on State Road ~441 was discussed. ~Iatt~r tabled. The follow .... ing vote was taken: Yea-Councilman Chandler, Gardner and Pearce; Nay-Councilman Walker. After further questions and discussion Coumcilman Pearce withdrew above motion. Bids were referred to the Laws and Rules Con~nittee for their investigation on cars and a report from the Committee to be heard at adjourned meeting of the Council to be held at V:O0 P. H. April 4. 5O7 Prices on an electric water cooler for the City Hall were considered and upon motion by Councilman Chandler, seconded by Councilman Gardner and carried, thc Council agreed to purchase a 6 gallon Frigidaire Water Cooler from Gilbert Hardware and Appliance. ~e need of culvert was discussed by Supt. Williams and upon motion Councilman ~i~ardner moved to purchase necessary culvert, seconded by Councilman Walker and carried. ~-e Coamcil authorized that the applications to the State Road Depart- merit and the State Board of Health for a permit to relay water line on State Road #~l be executed by proper city officials. A request for the transfer of a beer license from Padgett's Service to the location of Padgett's Tackle Shop was discussed. Dunham ~'AYOR A discussion on the proposed Ordinance that was recon~nended to the Council by ~ayor Dunham at the meeting of the Council held ~arch 12 was heard. The Council instructed the Clerk to contact the Attorney General requesting an examination of the City Charter and his opinion as to whether it would take an act of Legislature to make it legal for the city to adopt said Ordinance.
