NOTICE OF INTENTION TO AMEND CITY ZONING OPJ3INANCE #271 NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, a municipal corporation, will consider rezoning from RESIDENTIAL (R-I) to COMMERCIAL and to amend accordingly the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance #271 adopted November 21, 195~, the following described real property, situate, lying and being within the corporate limits of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, to-wit: Lots 3 and ~, Block 219 First Addition to City of Okeechobee and that a public hearing in relation thereto will be held at 8:00 P. M. on the 8th day of April, ]969, in the City Council room, City Hall, Okeechobee, Florida, at which time all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard. M. with the following present: President Gardner, Council- men Breland, Hunt, Psdgett and Walker with Attorney Hendry and Clerk Spivey. Councilman Breland moved to correct minutes of the City Council meeting held October 8, 1968 and to establish salary ~or Curtis Phelps as Policeman at $hl]..66 ~er month, seconded by Councilman Walker and unapimor, sly carried. Councilman H~mt moved to discontinue the $728.00 per year for weekly fire relief, seconded by Councilman Walker. The fc!lowin~ vote was taken: Yea - Councilmen Hunt, Walker and 2reland Nay - Councilman Padgett and President Oardner. Motion carried. Councj]_man Walker moved to allow the $728.00 for Fire Department equipment as needed, seconded by Councilman Breland. After discussion Councilman Walker withdrew motion. Attorney Hendry stated that the owner of River Lake Estates, Mr. Aliff had offered to give the City of Okeechobee the River Lake EStates water line providing the City would agree to extend the water line within the Subdivision when needed. The Council instn~cted Supt. Fortner to in- vestigate the approximate cost of extending water lines within Subdivision. The Council agreed to Day Curtis Phelps January, February and March Police uniform allowancei which a~ter / it would be on monthly basis.
