Councilman Watford moved to advertise for bids on police car and water department truck, seconded by Councilman Walker and carried. NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, will receive sealed bids for the purchase of the following: I special police car, 4 door, heater, tinted glass, turn signal, back-up lights, air conditioning, sopt light, heavy duty automatic transmission at least 60 AMP, low c~t in alternator, 15 in wheels, minimum of 360 HP engine, tan with white top, power brakes, power steering, and padded dash. The Council authorized adjustment of water bills for Tifton Rice, residence, Gladys' Restaurant, Okeechobee Cmmty BarB, and sewer charge at Okeechobee Liquor Store. The towing and storage of Junked and/or abandoned cars discussed. Attorney Hendry requested to investigate law governing this matter and report to the Council. A request was reported to move an abandoned car on west Eight Street. The Co~ncil agreed to have same moved. man Council~atford move~ to approve a $10.80 b~ll from Cecil T~er that was not included in the overall charge on the purchase and erection of signal lights, seconded by Councilman Padgett and carried. Upon execution of the release the Council authorized payment to be made for erection and at intersection of SR 441 and 70 materials for the signal ~ights/to Cecil Tyner and Major Electrical Supplies, Inc. and Croft~Mullins in the total amount of $5,237.46. The question of who ds to repair the signal lights was discussed. Matter referred to workshop meeting. Councilman Padgett moved to donate $1OO.00 to American Legion Post #6~ for improvement of Memorial in City Park seconded by Councilman Watford and carried. CounciLman Hunt moved to enlarge the Clerk's oe~ice by remodeling room where the ~ire truck is stored, seconded by Councilman Padgett and carried. Councilman Walker mo~ed to ratify Quit Claim deed to Parker Abney for release of drainage easement in Blocks 9, 24 and 42, Original Town of Okeechobee, seconded by Councilman Hunt and carried.
