Plat of Skeechobee, recorded in Plat Book 2, page 17, Public Records of Okeechobee County,
Florida ALSO That part of 16th Street lying between Lot 6 of Block 27 and Lot 1 of Block 40
and that part of 16th Street lying between Lot 16 of Block 26 and Lot 11 of Block 39, accord'

County, Florida. President Mc Crocklin asked if their was any objection. No objection was heard
or filed. Councilman Gardn®r moved to closed above described streets subject to 2 - 50 foot lots in
Block 28 and 2 - 50 foot lo%s in ~Block 39 being deeded to City by owner B. P. ~bney, seconded by Council-
man Watford and unanimously carried. Attorney Hendr/ to prepare necessary documents.
Lester JennioEs, repre~nti~ Okeechobee Beach Water Association, Incorporated was present also
several members of the Assoeiation, oresentingproposed contract for the Councils approval. After discussion
Councilman Gardner moved te apprpve'and accept the contract between City of Okeechobee and Okeechobee
Beach Water Association Incerpora]ted subject to minor changes as agreed upon seconded by Councilman Watford
and unanimously c~rried. T~e okeechobee Beach Water Association Incorporated called their meeting to
order and agreed unanimously to ~pprove and accept said contract.

Marshall Pitts was preSent discussing a franchise for cable vision in Okeechobee requesting the Council
to grant him exclusive franchise until he gets on air. After discussion Councilman Hunt moved to withhold
issuing franchise for cable vision to anyone before June 1, 1965, seconded by Councilman Watford and
unanimously carried.
The Clerk reported tha% a check in the amount of $14,558.69 had been received from Florida Power and
I.ight Company for 1964 Fran~ise Revenue as per Ordinance No. 223.

Whereas~ an application has been received requesting the City Council to close, discontinue
and vacate that certain alleyway running North and South in Block 155, according to the plat of

whereas, Notice of public hearing to consider closing discontinuing and vacating the
above descried alleyway was published in the Okeechobee News on June 18, 1964~and, whereas,
